STRENGHTENING YOUTH OFFICE CAPACITIES

In the period of June 6 - 8 in Divljana resort, near Bela Palanka, a three-day seminar on `Strengthening the capacity of the Office for Youth for exchange and cooperation in the border region of Serbia-Bulgaria` was held. Coordinator of the Office for Youth Natasa Stanojevic, attended this seminar, together with the coordinators of the Office for Youth from Pirot, Bela Palanka, Kursumlija, Blace, Rovinj, Knjazevac, Aleksinac and Gadzin Han, but also the representatives of NGOs, such as informal groups `Kobra`, `Youth and Education Center Nis`, `Together for youth`, `Center for creative development Knjaževac`, `Youth Experience Nis` and representatives of the European Houses from Nis and Vranje. This seminar was also attended by the representatives of NGOs dealing with youth policy in Bulgaria, city of Pernik, with which we achieved extraordinary cooperation and project activities for the next period. During this seminar from the all participants of the seminar 4 groups were formed to work on the given topic of the project ''Youth in Action'' by European Commission. During this seminar education on the program of the European Commission, applications submitting, deadlines for submission of applications and partners from the region were held. For the participants of seminars a reception at the Mayor Bela Palanka was organized. They were warmly welcomed, especially guests from Bulgaria. The seminar is normally held with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Serbian Government and the Center for Civil Society Development `Protekta` Nis. The seminar was attended by the regional coordinator of the Office for Youth Goran Radosavljevic, a representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Serbia.
