FLOWERS`
FOR CLEANER
HOME TOWN

Within the
programme of
international
neighborhood
cooperation,
two
municipalities
that
recently
have signed
Twinning
Agreement:
Palilula
Municipality
- Serbia and
Svoge
Municipality
Bulgaria,
together
celebrated
`Earth
Planet Day`.
These two
municipalities
organized
the event
with the
pupils from
`Kralj Petar
Prvi` and `Sv.
Ivan Rilski`
schools. In
Iskrec, the
most settled
part of
Svoge,
`Feast of
Flowers` was
organized by
the pupils
and teachers
from `Sv
Ivan Rilski`
school. The
activities
started with
coming of
Serbia
delegation
(Palilula
Municipality)
and then the
floral
exhibition
was shortly
afterwards
opened. This
exhibition
was arranged
and
organized by
the pupils
of
elementary
school age
7-15
including
the
exhibition
waste and
natural
material
with
presentation
of herbarium
made of
spring
flowers and
exhibition
board with
the theme:
`Bring
spring
happiness to
a friend`.
The feast
also
included
`Pets`
parade`, as
well as
drawing on
pavement
with the
theme `For
cleaned
town`.
Milena
Pantova,
head master
of `Sv. Ivan
Rilski`
school,
greeted all
feast
participants
and sent
special warm
welcome to
dear guests
from Serbia.
`In this
way,
emphasized
Mrs Pantova,
we will make
our
cooperation
only
stronger in
the spheres
of education
and culture,
we will
exchange
experiences
and
contribute
to better
understanding`.
In the hall
of `Sv. Ivan
Rilski`
school which
is also a
historical
monument of
national
importance,
the
presentation
called `The
most
beautiful
parts of our
home town`
was held.
Dusica
Manojlovic,
the head -
master
assistant of
`Kralj Petar
I` school,
expressed
her great
satisfaction
with this
event and
thanked the
organizers
and
colleagues
on this
remarkable
reception.
The
representatives
of `EKOpolis
net` and
regional
coordinators
of world
ecologic
campaign
`Clean up
the World`
informed the
participants
and
organizers
of this
ecologic
event that `Sv.
Ivan Rilski`
school and
Svoge
Municipality,
as well as
Palilula
Municipality
and Nis, won
the prize
for the
significant
contribution
in
realization
of the
objectives
of CUW
campaign,
regional
cooperation
and
education
for
sustainable
development.
The
participants
of `For
cleaner home
town`
manifestation
and the
guests from
Palilula
also visited
Svoge. Boban
Mikic,
municipal
councilor,
while
talking and
estimating
this event,
emphasized
that `this
was the true
implementation
of
successfully
realized
programme of
Bulgaria-Serbia
`raising the
level of
information
between the
border
regions`,
financed by
European
Agency for
Reconstruction,
within CARDS
programme,
as well as
the
realization
of
determined
objectives
of
international
cooperation,
defined by
Strategic
analyses
Strategic
plan of
development
of Palilula
in the next
period`.
