PALILULA YOUTH ACTIVITIES

 On the occasion of the equipping of the Office for Youth in Palilula (City of Nis) and coming projects of the young, Palilula Municipality was visited by Nendad Borovcanin, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Youth and Sports.The Office for Youth of Palilula Municipality is opened in accordance with the Recommendation of the Ministry of youth and sports of the Serbian Government, aiming at creating conditions for more quality life of the young and their active inclusion in modern streams of social development. With the Decision of the president of Palilula Municipality, starting from December 6 2012, the Coordinator of the Office for youth of Palilula has been Ivana Jovic, student.

MUNICIPAL SUPPORT TO KRUSCE FAMILY

 After successful realization of the project `Strengthening of Municipal capacities for the improvement of life quality of social vulnerable groups`, from programme `Exchange 3`, that successfully was realized by Palilula Municipality, the authorities of the Municipality in the cooperation with the Center for social work continued to take care of vulnerable people. On this occasion, president of Palilula Municipality Boban Dzunic and president of Palilula Municipal Assembly Milos Stojkovic, visited six member family of Srdjan Milosevic in Krusce village, family that lives in very hard situation and life conditions. In the cooperation with the humanitarian organization `Ljubi bliznjeg svog`, they handed the packages of humanitarian help.

HYGIENIC PACKAGES FOR SOCIALLY VULNERABLE PEOPLE FROM PALILULA

 Within the activities of Palilula Municipality support of socially vulnerable people in community, president of this organization of local self government of the City of Nis, Boban Dzunic, organized a meeting with the members of Rotarakt Club `Nis – Naisus` who in cooperation with social responsible companies Pharmacologist and Essence provided 30 hygienic packages for the most vulnerable residents of Palilula. Before giving the packages to the people, about the possibilities of cooperation with Palilula Municipality, donation and humanitarian work, with president Dzunic, spoke Aleksandar Cekic, president of Rotarakt Club with associates and Dobrica Zivkovic, manager in Pharmacologist company.

EDUCATION – THE WAY OUT OF POVERTY

 On the occasion of the World Day of Children, the president of Palilula Municipality Boban Dzunic, with his associates and project team of Society for children and youth development OPEN CLUB in Nis that with the support of UNICEF works on the project `Development of social centers in south east Serbia`, visited the space of social center that is in the shack in Crvena Zvezda Palilula settlement. The general aim of the new project of Open club supported by Palilula, according to Tamara Simonovic, programme manager,is a contribution to development of developmental-educational centers as a net of separate social centers (with the project were taken into account also municipalities of Pirot, Prokuplje, Lebane, Bojnik, Surdulica, Vladicin Han)

2013 CALENDAR OF PALILULA MUNICIPALITY IN PREPARATION

 According to Municipal tradition, this year and for the fifth time, Palilula Municipality announced the preparation for the CALENDAR for 2013. The Calendar will consist of photos of the best pupils/ students in the last school year - pupils and students who go to Palilula schools and faculties. From the head masters and deans the Municipality of Palilula asked that, until Thursday November 12 2012, submit the names of pupils – students who were the best during the last year.According the determined criteria the realized results will be taken into account of the individuals, team-groups in education processes, social and sport activities, then the prize, medal winners, and winners of other competitions.

INITIATIVE FOR LARGER CITY MUNICIPALITIES AUTHORIZATIONS

 The councilors of Palilula Municipal Assembly, on the third regular session that was organized in NKC, brought the Conclusion on submitting Initiative for the change of Statute of the City of Nis by which it is suggested that City Municipalities get larger authorizations. The initiative was directed to the City authorities and in Palilula Municipality they expect positive result. `We are doing this since we are on the front point of our citizens and we work for the interest of the citizens` said the president. We are asking to transfer part of authorizations that the City has and not those that the Republic transferred to the City.

 Plans and initiations of Palilula Municipality, that need city support, realizations of investments and realization of mutual projects, as well as help in problems solving of this organization of local self government of the City of Nis, were the themes of working visit of PhD Mile Ilic, president of City Assembly to Palilula Municipality. President Ilic first of all had the meeting with new authorities of Palilula headed by president Dzunic in the Municipal building and then visited together with his hosts Memorial park Bubanj and object of Local community Kula - Tower.

VICE-CHAMPION GETS A PRESENT - A COMPUTER FROM A PRESIDENT

 At the last European Championship in kickboxing, held from October 29 to November 04 in Ankara (Turkey), the Serbian national team performed with two contestants from Kickboxing Club "Niš" Jovana Krstic and Stevan Zivkovic.
In very strong competition Zivkovic won second place in the low kick to 75 kg and brought back to his country and town silver. On this occasion, President of Palilula Municipality Boban Dzunic welcomed this exceptional athlete and gave as a present a computer, a gift Palilula."We greatly appreciate the talented and successful young people, said the president received Dzunic.

 Presidents of Nis city municipalities - Palilula Municipality -Boban Dzunic and Niska Banja Municipality -Zoran Vidanovic, signed with the president of Regional commerce chamber of Nis Dragan Kostic the Agreement on business cooperation. With this the cooperation with RPKN and organizations of local self government of the City of Nis, aiming at improving conditions for doing business of economical entities in these environment over giving stimuli to business ambiance, eliminating conditions for existing unfair competitions and other appearances that negatively effect to businesses of enterprises and entrepreneurship, were agreed.

EDUCATION ACCORDING TO CHILDREN DEMANDS

 President of Palilula Municipality Boban Dzunic supported the campaign of the Society for development of children and young people OPEN CLUB in Nis that is implemented within three year project `Civil society for inclusive education – education according to children`. During the reception in Palilula Municipality the participants of the project Veljko Antic and Milos Bisenic, pupils of the second grade, gave as a present to Palilula president the painting that was made during the `children week` and represents common work of the children from five elementary schools of the City of Nis `Stefan Nemanja`, `Vozd Karadjordje`, `Radoje Domanovic`, `Ucitelj Tasa` and `Bubanjski Heroji` and also pre - school institution `Pcelica`.

APPLYING AARHUS CONVENTION – ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION

 After Kragujevac, Subotica and Novi Sad, in Nis the office of Aarhus Center for the South and East Serbia was founded. Forming of the office was helped by the Organization for security and cooperation OEBS and Center for organization of civil society Protecta in Nis. During the ceremony organized on this occasion in Kalca, after the introduction words of Aleksandra Savic, from newly opened association of the citizens Aarhus center of South and East Serbia`, the guests at the opening were greeted by Jan Lueneburg, chief of the Department for democratization – Mission of OEBS in Serbia, Radisa Milosevic, president of the Board for life environment of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities and representative of the City of Nis. In the name of Palilula Municipality Milos Stojiljkovic, Municipal councilor and Dragan Vidojkovic, Ekopolis, were present.

PALILULA COMMUNAL INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE SPOTLIGHT

 Aiming at improving life quality of the citizens in the settlements of Palilula Municipality, president of Palilula Municipality Boban Dzunic initiated the meeting with the management of Communal Enterprise `Naisus`. During the discussion on current matters of the realization of Programme for development of the City of Nis in the part of water management and construction of sewerage system in Palilula territory participated in the name of JKP `Naisus` Dragoslav Markovic, deputy of the general manager and Bogdan Milentijevic, director of investments and development with associates and in the name of Palilula authorities in the team of president Dzunic, were Milos Stojkovic, president of Palilula Municipal Assembly, Marija Brajdic, head of Municipal Administration, Milan Andrejic and Svetislav Petrovic members of Municipal Council and Ivan Dragisic, chief of Department for finances of Municipal Administration.

YOUNG PEOPLE AND LOCAL SELF GOVERNMENT

 After the initiative of the president of Palilula Municipality, Boban Dzunic, PhD Mile Ilic, president of the Nis City Assembly, had a visit by a delegation of young people -Adriana Anastasov, president of the Council for young and Vladimir Mladenovic, representative of the Regional office for young in Nis. President of the Assembly welcomed the initiative for founding of municipal offices for youth in order to include more young people in social events and give their contribution to the improvement of young population life quality in the city. He also appealed to bigger engagement of young people in the city aiming at giving initiatives that the City Assembly in the sphere of its authorities later would adopt.
