`CHILDREN
UNDER THE
RAINBOW`
CAMP STARTED
18.08.2009.
Within the
realization
of `Children
under the
rainbow`,
that was
approved to
horse riding
club `Nonios`
by the
Ministry for
Diaspora of
Republic of
Serbia, in
Gornje
Medjurovo
village
where `Nonios`
is situated,
the
celebration
for the
whole
project was
organized.
In the name
one of the
sponsors of
this project
- Palilula
Municipality,
the
participants
were
welcomed by
Boban Mikic,
member of
Municipal
Council. He
emphasized
that `the
support to
this project
and `Nonios`
club is the
affirmation
of true
values. `We
expect that
children
from
Diaspora
with young
people from
our region,
establish
good
cooperation,
have good
time
together and
get familiar
with our
surrounding,
tradition
and culture
of this
particular
region`-emphasized
Mikic. Boban
Mihajlovic,
member of
Nis City
Council,
representatives
of Tuzla, as
well as the
councilors
of Palilula
Municipality
– Milan
Andrejic and
Milan
Stevanovic
were present
during the
celenration.
During this
year`s
gathering
from 18-30
August,
young people
from Bosnia
(Tuzla),
Canada and
Sweden
(Gothenburg),
but also
children
from our
town will
take part.
The project
will be
realized in
the form of
young people
camp and in
the
cooperation
that `Nonios`
club has
with partner
organizations
and
associations.
`Participants
of this camp
are in the
houses of
their hosts,
children
from Gornje
Medjurovo
village`
-says Jasna
Ilieski,
project
manager.
`Activities
and
programme of
their stay
here are
organized as
workshops.
After
breakfast
the
participants
of the camp
chose one of
the
educational
workshops
(old crafts,
film,
acting,
photography,
music,
making and
modeling of
kites).
After lunch,
the time is
reserved for
time for
nature and
sport
recreational
activities,
including
horse riding
school`.
Under the
supervision
of trainers
and
president of
horse club,
Toni
Ilijevski,
young people
will learn
to saddle,
feed horses
and ride.
Evening
hours these
children
will spend
in sort of
theme
nights, it
will be
unique
opportunity
for
gathering
and fun with
singing and
dancing,
karaoke,
games. The
organizer of
the project
`Children
under the
rainbow`
prepared the
programme of
visit of
cultural
significant
spots and
monasteries
from Nis
region.
Special
interest of
the children
is, of
course, for
the visit of
this year
Film
Festival
that
provided to
all the
participants
of the camp
special
tickets. The
mayor of Nis
will also
organize the
reception
for the
young people
from this
camp and the
visit to
Palilula
Municipality
was planned.
