MUNICIPAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CENTER OPENED

Center for entrepreneurship development was opened in Bubanj, Palilula. The center was established within LEDIB programme with financial support of the Danish Government. The representatives of SMEs sector, City of Nis, LEDIB programme, Faculty of Economy and authorities of Palilula Municipality were all present at the opening of new work center in no 8,`Vojvode Putnika` street. `Contribution to small and medium enterprises in economy of Palilula Municipality grows on annual level. Palilula economy has all the characteristics of transitional economy and is characterized by domination of small and medium enterprises in private ownership. The biggest potential for economic development of Palilula Municipality are already present small and medium enterprises that have stabile production and that can together with additional potential increase the production range and open new work posts`-emphasized Novakovic, Palilula president during the opening ceremony. `Development of modern entrepreneurship and SMEs is one of the priorities of strategy of our local economic development`-emphasized also the president.
On the basis of terrain situation and all existing information, due to Novakovic opinion, this development in Palilula should, before all, rely on the following elements: foundation of industrial zone, private-public partnerships, good business surrounding, location, support to existing SMEs. With the realization of ` Foundation of center for entrepreneurship in Palilula Municipality, that was realized within local economic development in Nis administration region, 1,5 million of dinars was provided. The project is one of 17 developmental projects that were approved to Palilula Municipality by LEDIB programme, on the theme of economic development and increasing employment rate-emphasized Zarko Simovic, coordinator of LEDIB programme. With the foundation of Center for entrepreneurship development in Palilula it is expected to make stronger entrepreneur spirit, improving and availability and free information flow for SMEs sector and entrepreneurs for registered agricultural households, business associations and other interested citizens. This Center will have very significant role as a support to Palilula authorities in the realization of promotional activities of this organization and its resources, and all aiming at attracting domestic and foreign investments.
On the same occasion, `Strategy of small and medium enterprises` 2009-2013 was promoted as a result of many months associated work of the members of multidiscipline commission.
