CITIZENS ARE OBLIGED TO REMOVE SNOW OF PAVEMENTS 17.12.2009. Communal inspectors from the Administration of Palilula Municipality in Nis, from the moment when the first snow appeared, have visited larger part of municipal territory and warned the entrepreneurs, owners of private shops, residents of buildings, owners of individual residential objects, that within the closest deadline have to clean the snow and ice in front of their objects. Citizens, enterprises and other legal entities and entrepreneurs have to take care of cleaning snow and ice from pavements that are not in the scope of the programme of work of winter services. They are obliged to remove it from approaching roads and paths to business buildings and rooms they are using, as well as from the pavement and roofs. They are also obliged to cover these roads and areas with technical salt. According to a rule, the removed snow is to be put at the edge of the pavement, and if the pavement is less than 1,5 m, then to the sidewalk of the road, so that it can not disturb the movements of the pedestrians along the pavements, nor the traffic on the roads. Removed snow is taken to dump place for snow. Articles 107,108 and 109 are applied here, Decisions about general conditions for adaptation of the city (Official Gazette, no 14.07). Against the irresponsible, communal inspectors submit the charges for legal procedure to Municipal organ for procedures in Nis, and punishments are for legal entities from 10 000 to 50 000 dinars and physical persons from 1 000 to 5 000 dinars. Communal inspection has the obligation to submit the note to Residents Assembly of any building, if the approaching area to the building is not cleaned and punishments can be up to 50 000 dinars. Communal inspection of the Municipality is against the irresponsible citizens, so it has submitted a few charges so far.
