PALILULA - GREEN MUNICIPALITY

On the occasion of UN World Summit in Copenhagen-Denmark (7-18 December) and project realization `Cleaning of the terrain for forming paths in picnic place Bubanj`, that is being realized by Palilula Municipality with the technical help of Public Enterprise `Gorica`, this Memorial park was visited by PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality, Prof Miodrag Radovic, member of City Council, Sonja Popovic, president of Council for life environment protection and sustainable development of the City of Nis, Branislav Jezdimirovic director of Public Enterprise `Gorica` and Boban Mikic, member of Council of Palilula Municipality. Within this project that has been started recently by  People`s office of President of the Republic and world ecologic campaign `Billion trees for Planet Earth` - Green paths of Europe-Stop to climate changes promoted by `Ekopolis`, we decided to organize during this week the planting of 500 trees of birch, black pine, maple, red pin – emphasized PhD Igor Novakovic.

The project `Cleaning of the terrain for forming paths in picnic spot Bubanj` is being financed by Republic of Serbia government. Total amount value of the project, that was approved to Palilula Municipality, is 11,528,061,2 dinars, and the Republic of Serbia – Ministry of Economy and regional development participate with the resources in the amount of 9,222,448,95. Work performers –workers of Public Enterprise `Gorica` Nis, who were engaged on the adaptation and planting of new trees and terrain cleaning in Memorial Park `Bubanj`, according to the estimation of City representatives and Palilula Municipality successfully completed this entrusted assignment and contributed to realization of determined aim-preserving of cultural historical  heritage, improvement of ecological situation in the area of Memorial park `Bubanj`, improvement of the offer for sport –recreational activities with the forming the mentioned paths.
