FOURTH MEETING OF
PALILULA ASSEMBLY

The fourth meeting
of Palilula
Assembly, summoned
by Milan Djurdjevic,
the president of the
Assembly, was held
on December 11 2008
in NKC.
23 councilors took
part during the
session including
Municipal councilors
and the president of
the Municipality.
The president of the
Municipality
submitted his
`Report on
activities`. He
emphasized very
constructive
cooperation with
councilor groups and
coalition partners,
as well as the
activities of
Municipal
administration. The
immediate contact
with the people
living in rural and
urban areas have
contributed to
successful
realization of local
self-government
mission. `The
influence of local
governments on local
economic and social
development is very
significant,
emphasized the
president Novakovic
– local governments
can establish more
informal relation
with people, and it
is easier to
motivate and move
them from the dead
point into the
stream of creating
private and public
arrangements and
partnerships that
will create the
surrounding
attractive for
investments and new
projects.
Palilula
Municipality, with
legitimating of
`Palilula Strategic
plan of Development`
has opened the door
to the possibilities
for the realization
of many investing
projects and
objectives of EU
integration
programmes. The
Assembly also
legitimated the
Decision on
organization of
administration of
Palilula
Municipality and
Decision on forming
of inquiry of
commission for
determination of the
work of Palilula
Municipality in the
period from October
11 2004 to December
12 2008.
The councilors
expressed the
positive opinion on
the plans of
detailed regulation
of the street at the
left bank of
Gabrovacka River, `Milana
Bilica` Street,
complex `Jugopromet`
and the streets and
the entries in `Bubanjska
dolina` settlement.
