NEW YEAR`S `GALA` CONCERT

Palilula Municipality together with NKC-Nis Cultural Center have prepared one extraordinary New year`s gift for the representatives of the City of Nis, media and Nis institutions, as a way of expressing the gratitude for the support of local self government in the year 2008. Instead of usual cocktail receptions, in NKC on December 28th at 20 00 hours there will be GALA CONCERT performed by `Constantinus` Trio. The audience will have an opportunity to enjoy in arias and compositions for voice, solo violin and contiunuo by J.S. Bach and A. Piazzolla. The special guest of GALA concert will be soprano Aleksandra Ristic, professor of the Faculty of Arts in Nis and the opera name of worldwide reputation.

`Constantinus` is a trio of professors of Faculty of Arts in Nis: Igor Aleksic - violin, Aleksandar Jakovljevic - violoncello and Bojan Mladenovic - piano. It was formed in 2002 and immediately attracted public and media attention in the country and abroad. It has performed many concerts since 2002.

One of the main aims of this famous trio is cherishing the tradition of Serbian culture, through presentations of chamber music works of art of domestic composers.

`With this special event and with the big help of the artists from our town, we would like to add one more cultural occasion to the magic moments of December and New Year`s celebration atmosphere. This event could be one new Palilula tradition` - emphasized the president Novakovic.
