NEW YEAR`S PRESENTS FOR ORPHANS

New Year`s reception for 50 young people and children, orphans living in `Dusko Raodovic` Institution, including the children with their mothers, the victims of family violence, was organized in NKC – Nis Cultural Center. The president of the Municipality of Palilula PhD Igor Novakovic,  together with Gua Shiao, the president of `Chinese trade association for South Serbia` and the president of the `Association of cultural-educational and sport cooperation of Serbia and China`  , a donor of beautiful and useful presents  for these children were the hosts of the reception. The children received useful presents- winter clothes - jackets and caps.

`Looking to New 2009 we would like to show that Palilula is with you in every important moment of your young lives –emphasized president Novakovic. I wish you all in New Year lots of smiles, happiness, success and good school resultsYou are the generation of the children we are proud of and the generation that we expect to be responsible one day for the future development of our town. Dear children, please take care that every day your imagination, creativity, persistence, self- confidence and responsibility come to its full shape`.

Mrs. Slavica Djokic, the general manager of `Dusko Radovic` Institution reminded the guests and media that the care for the young and for the children one of the most refined tasks in one life. 

`Dusko Radovic` Institution started its work in 1984 and to 1990 it had worked according to so called ` family home ` principle and after 1990 it has been working as a classic institutional type.  Today it is an institution of social protection  that takes care of the children and young people without parents and also of the children whose normal development was disturbed by certain bad family matters. The Institution is active until the moment these children are back to their healthy and normal families or they are fully capable of work and living on their own. In this moment, this Institution takes care of 47 children, and young people with refugee status and 104 kids.
