After the
initiative
of Palilula
Municipality
and in the
cooperation
with Center
for social
work `Sveti
Sava` and
`Department
for
children,
social and
primary
health
protection`
in Nis the
action `
Land
reconstruction
of green
surfaces in
residential
quarters in
Palilula
Municipality`
has started
at this
municipal
territory.
For this
occasion
president
Novakovic
introduced
media
representatives
with the
results of
reconstruction
of `Bozidarceva`
street that
was just one
month ago
just one
ugly place.
`With this
action and
following
the model
`think
global-act
local`, we
wanted to
provide work
for one
number of
the most
socially
threatened
people of
our
municipality
– people who
were left
without job,
but are
capable of
work, as
well as to
contribute
to
reconstruction
of life
space in our
settlements`
–emphasized
Novakovic.
In this way
we took the
active part
in
ecological
activities
`To clean,
to green (ozeleniti-to
green, Nis,
part of the
word)-as
a part of
worldwide
campaign
`Clean the
world- clean
Serbia`.
Boban Mikic,
Municipal
council,
emphasizes
that
currently at
this
voluntary
work 27
people are
engaged.
Palilula
Municipality
provided the
all the
necessary
tools and
machines.
The manager
of the for
social work
`Sveti Sava`
Zoran Jovic
is satisfied
with the
cooperation
and
expressed
his best
thoughts
about the
initiative
of Palilula
Municipality
to help the
inhabitants
of Palilula
and in the
same time to
clean and
green the
area in
these
Palilula
parts. The
people-
beneficiaries
of the
services of
social work
`Sveti Sava`
have the
obligation
to fulfill
600 hours of
voluntary
work hours.
Monthly it
is 100
hours. With
this
voluntary
work, that
was
organized by
Palilula
Municipality,
they will
gain the
right on
certain
compensation.
This project
has been in
realization
since 2004
and up to
now it has
given only
great
results.
