PALILULA
NIGHT AND
TRADITIONAL
VALUES
03.06.2009.

Traditional
manifestation
Palilula
Night within
the
celebration
of Saint
Emperor
Constantine
and Helen
Day in Nis
was
organized on
June 3 in
the
organization
of Palilula
Municipality.
This year it
is the 17th
time it
takes place
and now it
has special
recognizable
sign - pipe
from
Palilula and
specific
`old town
feeling`.
Palilula
sang and
danced long
into that
night of
June.
Palilula
Municipality
put efforts
to make good
atmosphere
and to
remind
hundreds of
citizens of
Nis about
the past
times. Like
the
tradition
is, Palilula
Night was
opened by
the
president of
the
Municipality
PhD
Novakovic:
` We, in
Palilula
Municipality,
put the
efforts to
create one
modern and
European
Palilula,
but also to
take care of
traditional
values and
heritage.
Here in
Palilula, we
are
recognizable
for our
bohemian way
of life, for
our
gentility,
for our
traditionalism.
Tonight we
will also
remember
those people
from
Palilula
that are not
with us
anymore and
one special
part of the
night is
dedicated to
them,
because they
were
synonyms and
symbols for
gentility,
for bohemia,
friendship
and for
famous
Palilula
solidarity.
Their names
made
Palilula
famous.
Apart from
all those
positive
things that
we cherish
from the
previous
Palilula
nights and
new forms
that we are
now
introducing,
we have
agreed to
mark every
Palilula
night with
something
new with
which we
will build
it. That is
why, this
year we have
decided to
redecorate
our famous
Palilula
area, to
make
Palilula
fountain, to
make
Palilula
summer-house
and new
benches`.

In the name
of Bulgarian
Municipality
Svoge Emil
Atanasov –Cvetanov,
the
president
send the
participants
and guest
warm guests.
The bishop
of Nis
Irinej
wished good
evening to
all people
from Nis and
Palilula
` Let this
celebration
be blissful,
let this
feast of our
town be
blissful
too, the
town where
Emperor
Constantine
was born.
This day is
a big day,
for our
church and
for our
whole town,
which stands
for the
symbol of
freedom for
faith and
freedom for
existence.
With the
wish to
gather more
like
tonight, to
respect our
great
people, to
take
examples
from their
life values
and follow
them with
our lives,
to live in
happiness
and love`.
