THE RUINS OF OLD SCHOOL REMOVED

Old school in Donje Medjurovo village is finally pulled down. It was the object that has been for a few years ruined and represented permanent threat for the people passing by, especially children. On the demand of the Citizen Council and support of Palilula Municipality and Head office for the assets of the City of Nis the final chapter came to the problem of many years.

The story has already become familiar: since this particular structural object has not been available for using and for its step by step self – destruction, it has become dangerous for the people passing, because it is situated next to local community building and in the immediate neighborhood is `Desanka Maksimovic` new elementary school and sport terrains. Three years ago the decision on the pulling it down was legally brought. However, since then nothing has been done for its realization. There have been certain plans about reusing the space of old school in new purposes.

The rearrangement of this area is planned after its cleaning.
