GATHERED RETIRED
TEACHERS AND BEST
PUPILS

Palilula
Municipality has
arranged one unique
event in NKC – the
Municipality
gathered the
retired teachers
from 9 elementary
schools from
Palilula and the
pupils – winners
of many competitions
in Serbian language,
literature and
history in the
previous two school
years. 47 teachers
and 90 pupils came
to the celebration
of St. Sava Day.
Milan Djurdjevic,
the president of the
Palilula Assembly
welcomed the guests
in the name of
Palilula
Municipality with
the words that `taking
care of children is
one of the biggest
priorities of
Palilula
Municipality and
that we especially
appreciate the work
and the efforts of
the teachers, since
they have very
important and
crucial role in the
development of young
people. In this way
we would like to
express our
gratitude to them
and to add one more
time that they are
every time our
precious guests `.
The choir from
elementary school `Sreten
Mladenovic Mika` -
conductor Gordana
Stamenkovic-
took part in
programme. This
choir has been a
winner of choir
competitions in the
last couple of years
in the Republic of
Serbia. Also the
audience had a
chance to listen to
fabulous singing of
the students of
Faculty of Arts in
Nis –Nada Jovanovic
and Dragana Lalic
with Tchaikovsky
compositions. They
sang accompanied on
the piano by their
professors Ingrid
Jankovic and Dragana
Djordjevic.

Many pupils of three
Palilula schools
took part in
reciting: Sanja
Stevanovic `Bubanjski
heroji`, Milos
Rusitovic `Desanka
Maksimovic` and six
pupils from `Kralj
Petar Prvi` school.
In the end of the
ceremony Zorica
Stoiljkovic, the
councilor of
Palilula and Milan
Djurdjevic gave to
all the pupils
valuable present- a
book. The teachers
were also given a
book by their
younger colleague
Marija Randjelovic,
also a teacher, the
author of the book
on St Sava life and
work.
