SIGNIFICANT SUPPORT
TO AGRICULTURE AND
CATTLE BREEDING
08.01.2009.

PhD Igor Novakovic,
President of
Palilula
Municipality and
Boban Mikic
Municipal council
organized a
reception for the
representatives of
agricultural
associations and
individual
agricultural
producers who showed
their best results
back in 2008. This
meeting has
indicated one rich
and powerful
cooperation of local
self - government
and individual
producers in 2009.
Novakovic requested
better unity and
cooperation of food
producers and
announced that in
the beginning of
March this year the
Municipal fund for
Agriculture will be
founded that will,
together with the
help by Ministry of
agriculture of
Serbia, City of Nis
–the Municipal
budget, start with
3-4 million of
dinars that will be
provided for the
stimulus of
agriculture and food
marketing
(vegetables, meat,
milk, cheese,
fruits).
Furthermore, the
thing that is
waiting is the
meeting with the
colleagues from
Niska Banja,
Pantelej and Crveni
Krst Nis
municipalities about
the estate
management and the
forming of Union of
agricultural
producers and proper
formation of
cooperative unions.
This all will
provide competitive
presentation at the
big regional market,
noted the President.
General remark is
that in the complex
economic conditions
we can have one
normal production.
The biggest
problematic issue is
certainly product
classification at
the market –
said the invited
Palilula producers
at the reception.
The future of
agriculture is
producing in big
quantities for the
familiar customers
and clients and in
this way 3Qs
will be fully
satisfied (quality,
quantity and
continuity) is
the conclusion of
this meeting.
The development of
modern sector of
primary agricultural
production and
refining industry is
one of the
priorities of the
Strategy of local
economic development
of Palilula
Municipality. This
activity is of big
significance for
life standards
sustainability.
Regarding this stage
at the terrain and
also regarding all
the existing
information, the
agricultural
development and the
development of
villages at Palilula
territory relies on
the number of
elements. Many
decades have passed
with the migration
from villages to
towns and this
problem has been
slowed down since
Palilula
Municipality has
contributed here
itself in large
percent.
This reception
gathered the
representatives of
agricultural and
cattle breeding
cooperatives: `MLECNI
PU`T`, `LALINAC`, `POVRTAR`,
`SVETI MARKO`, `KUTAK
ZDRAVOG ZIVOTA`, `STOCAR`,
`EKOFORA`, `AGROPROIZVOD`
and NONIUS`.
