INVESTMENTS AND OBJECTS` MAINTENANCE IN SUVI DO VILLAGE ON TESTING?

13.05.2009.

The management of Palilula Municipality: PhD Novakovic- Municipal president and Djurdjevic – Assembly president visited Suvi Do village. It was done within the range off their activities and solving regular and daily problems, all with the aim of life quality of the people living local community. Svetislav Petrovic, alderman in Palilula Municipality, informed the Municipal authorities about the demands of the people living in Suvi Do. They have few problems concerning prevention of further destroying of Zadruzni dom (community building), but he also added that the works on water-piping system and asphalting of `Sime Josica` street in the length of 20 meters. This street has been simply left unfinished and not solved after the pre- election promises. ` In August 2008, we, from Palilula Municipality, made the `Action plan of municipal development` and started fulfilling of activities` concept that actually mean making closer local government and the citizens – emphasized the president. That is why we are here now to make the inspection, together with the people who live in Suvi Do, about the results of our plans and suggested priorities.

Unfortunately, many investments are fulfilled somehow chaotically, without any cooperation with the citizens and local authorities. `Zadruzni dom` had built the people of Suvi Do and managed it up to the moment when this property became state property – given to the City of Nis management. From that moment this object has not been kept how it should have been, so it led further to roof falling down and also one part of this building. The thing that concerns a lot here is the fact that in the nearness of this ruined building is actually one children playground. The danger that anyone of passer –byes could be hurt is daily threat. The City of Nis has to take all points of this situation into account and find the best solution – was also emphasized in this meeting of the Municipal government and people from Suvi Do.
