NIS RECITING COMPETITION ORGANIZED

26.03.2009.

Nis competition of pupils reciting their favorite verses, was organized in Nis Cultural Center - NKC for the qualification of the major event - Serbian state reciting competition. The competition was opened by the president of Palilula Municipality. On this occasion president Novakovic sent his wishes and hopes to keep and cherish true values, to strongly fight against trash and primitivism in culture and wished them to be good pupils as they are now.

The reciting competition was organized by 41^st time, this year at the territory of the Palilula, with unique motto " Oh, poet of my people!."

140 pupils from 29 primary and secondary schools competed – emphasized Dragan Jovanovic, editor in chief of NKC special programs.

18 most successful young reciters, after jury decision, will compete in the beginning of April during the regional festival and three finalists will go to Valjevo on May 15 for state competition.

With this unique competition of telling verses reading is encouraged, pupils are also encouraged to learn more about their culture and develop their voice talent, therefore many reciters later become famous actors, good TV and radio hosts and many of them also begin to write their own verses.
