SIGNED AGREEMENT
ON USAID
PROGRAMME
IMPLEMENTATION

Aiming at the
improving the
system of
management in
emergency
situations on
the local level
and
reinforcement of
the
entrepreneurship
of the young,
the presidents
of thirteen
municipalities
of Serbian
south-east
region signed
the Agreement
on cooperation
with American
agency for
international
development
USAID. The
following
municipalities
joined this
programme
activities worth
19 million
dollar:
Babusnica, Bela
Palanka, Cicevac,
Dimitrovgrad,
Gadzin Han,
Knjazevac,
Paracin, Pirot,
Trstenik,
Varvarin,
Zitoradja and
Nis city
municipalities:
Pantelej and
Palilula. The
participants of
this programme
welcomed city
councilor PhD
Zarko Rankovic
and in the name
of USAID Michael
Pilisburzy,
director of the
Programme for
planning and
reacting in
emergency
situations and
strengthening
economic
security. The
annex of the
agreement, that
was signed by
Milan Djurdjevic,
president of the
Palilula
Municipal
Council, in the
name of the
president of
Palilula
Municipality Mr.
Novakovic,
provides that
the Municipality
and DAI
cooperates on
the capacity
development of
coordinators of
local Offices
for young people
in the sphere of
entrepreneurship.
It also refers
to
implementation
of various
programmes for
development of
entrepreneurship
intended to the
young people on
the local level.
The most
important
objective is
entrepreneur and
market skills
improvement of
the young and
promotion and
realization of
the progamme for
entrepreneurship
improvement with
the young.
