PAID TRIBUTE TO BUBANJ VICTIMS OF FASCIST TERROR

For the remembering the 65 years from Nis liberation from Fascism, president of Palilula Municipality, PhD Igor Novakovic placed memorial wreath in tribute to the victims of fascist terror in Memorial `Park Bubanj` with PhD Mile Ilic, president of City of Nis Assembly, Slavoljub Vlajkovic and the delegation of Municipal and Regional Board of Socialistic Party of Serbia. The representative of war veterans and representatives of citizens associations were also present at the memorial tribute and commemorated at Bubanj.

Nis was liberated from the Germans after many fights on October 14 1945 when Seventh `Division Prinze Eugen` was finally destroyed. After the initiative of veterans organizations, but also large number of fellow citizens from Nis, PhD Mile Ilic, president of City of Nis Assembly, has recently sent the letter to the Mayor of Nis Milos Simonovic that October 14 Day of liberation of Nis should be celebrated as on of  the City of Nis Days. The renewed memory of that day, as it was stated in this initiative, would only certified long anti-fascist tradition of the City of Nis and will join our city to Belgrade and Novi Sad that officially praised the days of their liberation.
