SUPPORT TO `ZELEZNICAR` TABLE TENNIS CLUB

Within the support to most successful sport clubs and successful individual sport players, Palilula Municipality represented the programme of cooperation with Table tennis club `Zeleznicar` in Nis. For this occasion, the president of Palilula Municipality and president of `Zeleznicar` table tennis club- Dragan Jovanovic, signed the agreement on donations and programme cooperation. At media conference, it was emphasized that this sport club has existed from 2002 and has been reaching good results so far. Novakovic emphasized that that, aiming at the support to these sport players, Palilula would provide the transport for the participation in qualifications for the entry to First sport league of Serbia. Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Assembly was also present at this meeting. Professor Hristivoje Petrovic, PR of this sport club, emphasized that `Zeleznicar` was registered at STSS (Serbian table tennis association) and with Regional table tennis union of Nis (RTSN) and from July 2005 has been in the process of competitions. Beside competition of senior team in Serbian league, during the same year the school of table tennis started to work in the school led by professor Z. Stepanovic licenced coach. `One of the main aims of our work – the founder and president of the club, Dragan Jovanovic emphasized at the reception in Palilula Municipality, is making it larger and make table tennis more popular in elementary schools. The plan is to make table tennis available -as a class of choice and in the cooperation with elementary school teachers, where our professionals would participate in regular classes`.
`Zeleznicar` has registered players of all categories, table tennis studies of all ranges and coaches of all certificates. In the competition year 2008/09 `Zeleznicar` as a first league of RSTSN played qualifications for higher rang and had excellent results with placement in Second Federal League of Serbia. The objective of this club is to win qualifications in 2009/10 year for entry to First Serbian League.
