ACTIVITIES IN MEMORIAL PARK `BUBANJ` ARE NOT BEING REALIZED AS IN EXPECTED DYNAMICS

Milan Djurdjevic, president of the Assembly of Palilula and  Boban Mikic, member of Municipal council, visited this location due to the works on the project `Cleaning of terrain for forming paths in Bubanj`. The realization of this project works was authorized to Public Enterprise `Mediana`. `This project was approved to Palilula Municipality according to the competition from the sphere of the works of general public works and expect that already planned works are to be completed until certain deadline, until the end of this year –emphasized Milan Djurdjevic. At the moment the work is based on removal of wild waste dumps and organization of grass surfaces. We think that the performer of these works is not following certain dynamics of this project and is not engaging in complete the approved number of workers – all 60 of them from the evidence of National employment service office. President Djurdjevic after the visit of Memorial Park `Bubanj` emphasizes that the cleaning of this terrain for forming trim paths has not even started yet, although weather conditions are good.
The project is financed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia. Total values that was approved to Palilula Municipality is 11,528,061,2 dinars. City of Nis participates in the project financing with the resources in the amount of 2,305, 612,3 dinars and the Republic of Serbia – Ministry of Economy and regional development with the resources of 9,222,448,95 dinars. The basic project aim, it is emphasized in Palilula Municipality and City of Nis, is the improvement of ecological situation at the area of Memorial park `Bubanj`. With paths forming as well as realization of new projects of arrangement for Bubanj (amphitheatre and cliff for sport climbing), it is expected the improvement of tourist-sport and recreational offer of the City and Palilula Municipality. With the realization of this project and over the programme of public works it is improved socio-economical position of jeopardized population categories through their work engagement in the cooperation with National service for employment.
