REDUCING STATE OF UNEMPLOYMENT WITH THE HELP OF LEDIB STRATEGY
16.09.2009
Within the finishing activities of summing up the results of public discussion about pre-draft of `STRATEGY OF SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT`, Palilula Municipality organized the discussion with the citizens and a press conference. This important document was presented by president Novakovic: `We would like go all over to the final objective – to reduce the number of those unemployed in our municipality with the elaboration of the Strategy and Strategic planning. Then, we want to develop the sector of small and medium enterprises, to calm down transition effects and to create the ambience for potential home and foreign investors –emphasized Novakovic. We expect that with one long term plan we could come to results. With the `Strategic plan of development` that was adopted in the end of 2008, as a vision of Palilula development, it was emphasized that `Palilula is economically developed community, integrated in global trends, attractive for living and working, characterized by flexible job market, competitive human resources and rich cultural identity`.
`On the ninth meeting of Palilula Municipality the Commission for elaboration of Strategy of 48 members was formed`–reminded Boban Mikic, member of Municipal Council. Three working groups were formed: for production and manufacturing activities, for service activities and for agricultural activities. During the constitutional meeting, held on June 24, the members of these working groups created the proposal of the document of Strategy. The basic task of this Strategy, as LEDIB coordinator Indira Verem emphasized, was to `face the problems and transform them into business chances, connecting local government, private and civil sector in the best way`.
This `Strategy` is the last phase of project realization `Increasing capacities in municipalities of Nis region` over which LEDIB wanted to allow practical structured support to relevant municipalities over trainings, technical support and planning.
